Lower School StudentsWe are excited to announce the addition of Mile High Academy in Denver, Col. to the Renaissance Network. The Renaissance Network is a non-profit school management organization that seeks to promote growth, viability and excellence in Adventist education.  Schools accepted into the Renaissance Network receive training and support in business, youth ministry, marketing and academics.

“I am most excited about the ability to set something up that can last into the future – focusing on excellence in every area,” said Principal Toakase Vunileva. “The ability to influence change and create excellence in all of our schools across the division is exciting for me.”

Mile High Academy has a deep history that we are proud to be a part of. More than 100 years ago, Mile High Academy opened its doors to educate the young people in the Denver Metro area not just about science and math, but also about God’s unconditional love.

SA OfficersMile High Academy is a P – 12th grade day academy with an objective that every student not only receives an education, but also an eternal one. Everyday the faculty, staff and students gather for a morning meeting where they review and discuss the core values of CHERISH – Christ-centered living, Honor, Exploration, Responsibility, Integrity, Service and Heroism.

“We have been working on developing partnerships with our parents and community, helping them understand we are a Christ-centered school with a mission that is more than academics,” Vunileva said.

As the newest member of the Renaissance Network, MHA will also receive management support, comprehensive school planning services, and other resources through our partnership. Additionally, they will be connected with a powerful support system and collaborative network that encourages excellence in the spiritual, academic, social, and physical development of students.

This partnership with the Renaissance Network also brings the opportunity to MHA for growth and program development. Differentiated Instruction, Customer Service and Brain Function are a few of the initiatives MHA plans on implementing over the coming school year.

“We are excited to be working with Mile High Academy, Principal Vunileva, the MHA School Board and the Rocky Mountain Conference,” said Ambassador Kathryn Proffitt, AAF Chief Executive Officer.  “Our vision is to make our Renaissance schools among the most respected and successful schools in the country, and we believe Mile High will set a new standard for excellence.”
